What is ESTA? Get your ESTA applicationInternational travellers who are seeking to travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) are now subject to enhanced security requirements and will have to pay an administrative fee. All eligible travellers who plan to travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Program must apply for a travel authorization. For this reason the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) introduced an electronic method - ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). We recommend to apply for ESTA at least 72 hours prior to departure.

What data is required for an ESTA request?To avoid delays or difficulties during the online process, you should gather the following information in advance.
- Your electronic passport
- Private information (among other things: Names of parents, address and contact details
- Information / name / address of current or former employer
- Data for an emergency contact - inside or outside the United States (name, phone number, email address)
- Information about your accommodation / location (s) in the USA (hotel, house, apartment - with address and telephone number)
- Authorized credit card for online payment
How long is the ESTA valid?After being approved, a US ESTA has a validity of 2 years. During this period you can enter and leave the country several times for a maximum of 90 days. Note: If you enter and leave the country at unnatural intervals, you may be refused entry despite a valid ESTA.
Is a US ESTA a visa?Although it is often referred to as a visa, the ESTA is only an electronic entry permit for travellers under the Visa Waiver Program, it is not a visa.
How much does the ESTA for the USA cost?The US ESTA costs 14 US Dollars, 10 USD of which are consulate fees and 4 USD credit card fees. The $14 includes the Border Control and administration fees. If you submit your ESTA application on our service portal, our service with all fees will cost a total of 39 euros. Is the ESTA free of charge?Since 2011 the ESTA registration is no longer free of charge. Most of the revenue from the electronic entry procedure is channelled into tourism advertising in the USA.
